KEGAN SMITH

Founder

Coach Kegan is a lifetime student of the game and a proponent of developing the correct habits at a young age. He is the Present and Founder of East Coast Power Baseball and the former Baseball Director of Huntington Valley Athletic Association (HVAA)

As a player Kegan grew up playing for Somerton Youth Organization before attending Northeast Catholic High School where he was a Varsity starter in both Baseball and Soccer. He was a member of the 2007 RBI World Series Championship tram as well as an All-Catholic Pitcher. After high school Kegan received an academic scholarship to attend Seton Hall University as a recruited walk-on and spent his freshman year there before transferring to LaSalle University where he finished his collegiate career. While at LaSalle, Kegan helped found the club Baseball Team and helping guided many athletes to becoming better baseball players.

PHIL CONSALVO

Co-Founder

Coach Phil, a native of Northeast Philadelphia, has cultivated a deep-rooted connection to baseball from an early age. His journey began at Calvary, where he not only played recreationally but also celebrated multiple state championships, showcasing his talent and commitment to the sport. Continuing his athletic pursuits at Archbishop Ryan High School, Phil's passion for baseball only grew stronger. Alongside his teammate Kegan, he played an instrumental role in the founding of the LaSalle club baseball team, leaving a lasting impact on the local baseball community.  Transitioning from player to coach, Phil dedicated six fruitful years as he varsity coach at Our Lady of Calvary, leading his team to three championships victories. Beyond the thrill of competition, Phil finds true joy in the strategic planning and coaching aspects of baseball, where hi expertise shines on and off the field. Currently, Phil Serves as the VP of baseball operations for East Coast Power Baseball, where he continues to contribute his knowledge and passion to the sport he loves.

ZACK SANTORO

Coach Santoro was a valued player during his years at Neshaminy High School. He went to pursue a business degree from Penn State University where he continued to play baseball at a club level as well as collegiate development leagues during summers. After graduating from Penn State, he joined Neshaminy's coaching staff in 2016 where he has continued his development of high school baseball players to this current day. In addition to coaching high school he has served as a coach with several youth programs, winning a state championship and countless tournament victories. Coach Santoro has been a key part of the development of numerous athletes that have gone on to play college baseball at all division levels.

Nikki Michalowski-Thomson

Coach Nikki attended and played four years of varsity softball at Archbishop Ryan. There, she earned All-Catholic League Honors each year and helped the team reach the state playoffs, winning the Class 4A City Title in 2014.

Nikki followed her sister Sara to Hofstra University, where she played her college career under Head Coach Larissa Anderson's highly touted Division 1 teams from 2014 to 2018. Her awards and honors include 2x Second-Team All-Conference, Third Team National Fastpitch Coaches' Association All-Northeast, and the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award Recipient. Aside from personal accolades, Nikki was also part of 2 Colonial Athletic Association Championship titles, leading to two competitive appearances in Regionals in 2015 and 2018.

Nikki's older sister, Sara, is currently the Associate Head Coach at the University of Missouri alongside Larissa Anderson.

Aside from personal training, Coach Michalowski spent 6 years as the Head Coach of competitive 18u travel teams and is still involved in team training. Coach Nikki has a proven track record of developing players for the next level of play while seeking to engage and empower young players as future leaders in their communities.

SARAH OSTAZEWSKI

Coach Sarah is a former D1 softball player at Saint Joseph’s University, where she was a 5-year starter and achieved several accolades including A-10 All-Conference Team, A-10 All-Rookie Team, A-10 All-Championship Team Player, and All-Region Team. She also holds the All-Time Career Doubles record.

 

Coming from Archbishop Ryan, Coach Sarah is a four-time All-Philadelphia Catholic League honoree and served as team captain during her senior year. She was named Northeast Times Player of the Year and an All-Southeastern Pennsylvania selection. Additionally, she earned Philadelphia Catholic League MVP honors as a junior and led Archbishop Ryan to three Philadelphia Catholic League titles. Coach Sarah also lettered in basketball and competed for Nightmare Fastpitch.

 

Coach Sarah offers private 1-on-1 softball lessons during the off-season, focusing on hitting, infield/outfield work, or catching, based on the player's preferences.
